Our Story
When Dariush Khairkhah sat across the street from Pit Pros 30 years ago, counting cars all day to see if the business could be profitable, he knew he was onto something. Dariush, or DK as he’s known, always dreamed of running his own business. He arrived in America in 1981 with only $3 and had to share a Happy Meal with his brother-in-law. It wasn’t long before he owned 64 taxis at Yellow Cab and a liquor store, Royal Liquor, off Cedar Springs. Eventually, he decided to start a new adventure in vehicle maintenance. Owning 64 taxis, he learned a lot about car repairs and quickly developed a passion for it. This led to the founding of Pit Pros #1.
Our business is now in its second generation of family ownership. We’ve blended our traditional values with a modern approach. While we still feature our classic signs and photos on the walls, we also use state-of-the-art equipment and computers to track your car’s needs and history—so you never have to second-guess your service.
